Serious demand has been mounted by the Sierra Leone Peoples Party Grassroot member to elect their own son, uncle, brother and father Jimmy Batilo Songa in the position as National Charman for the ruling SPPP Party at the lower-level election.
Jimmy Batilo Songa has been eyed due to the massive support he has from the grassroot people. The grassroot believe that he (Batilo) has been one of the strong foundation members for the grass wing since he was once like them. They also believe that he has a good vision, and they believe he can transform the mindset of the grassroots party members for their brighter future.
He has the core value and determination to rebuild the structures of the Sierra Leone Peoples Party with integrity, credibility, transparency , accountability. He has been a man who believe in creating a platform to disseminate information to the party members especially issues relating to their party interest.
According to them the good work of Dr Prince Harding needs to be enhance and it can only be continued when the right man like Jimy Batilo Songa is elected as National Charman for the SLPP.
They recalled that the trust of electing him in such a position was based on his Past record when he was serving as the party National organization Secretary. . He serves the party people with humanity, supported youths, men, grassroots women, and people with disability and provided scholarship to deserving pupils, foot medical bills and have open hands to accommodate everyone .
