The Executive Director of the National Sports Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai has been honored with the 8th Service Delivery Award by the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation in Port Loko. The highly placed recognition is for his outstanding leadership and contributions to sports development in Sierra Leone.
Presenting the 2025 award to Dr. Abdulai, Junisa Fofana, Executive Director of the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation praised Dr. Abdulai’s transparent and credible service delivery in both private and public sectors. He said their awards are always done on a merits basis describing the nomination and vetting processes as transparency and credible. Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. Abdulai expressed gratitude and emphasized the importance of merit-based recognition. He thanked the NSA team and inturn presented the award to them for their hardwork and dedication.
Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai has been instrumental in transforming Sierra Leone’s sports landscape. In 2019, he served as the chairman of the Sierra Leone Premier League Board, a league that is still unmatched in the country in terms of organisation, transparency and turnout at every match venue.
