The Planned Parenthood Association of Sierra Leone held its Annual General Assembly (AGA) on Saturday 20th December 2025 with the theme: Lead with Love’ at the Civil Service Training College, Tower Hill in Freetown.

The AGA brought together the PPASL family from across the country under one roof.
In his welcome address Dr. Victor Massaquoi, the Western Area, Chairperson thanked the members for coming while wishing them a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Dr. Massaquoi quoted saying that kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and blind can see adding that this is what defines the Planned Parenthood Association of Sierra Leone.
‘’We are holding this AGA during the festive season but most importantly this meeting is to give stewardship of our service. This meeting will give report from the region,’’ he said.
The Western Area Chairperson said this is the time to give account to members and that the period under review volunteers were recruited to serve.
On the challenges, Dr. Massaquoi cited inadequate resources for branch operations followed by, acquisition of a permanent youth friendly center
‘’The youth friendly center need to be factor into the next annual budget, same also for the SRH&Rs activities and capacity building. During the period under review also we were able to reach 4,000 clients and this is part of the successes we recorded,’’ he said.
The Chairperson of the 2025 AGA, Hassan Fuad Kanu, the Honorary President, began by congratulating the membership for coming emphasizing the importance of the Assembly.
He called on the members to looked at the agenda for it’s adoption and called for the proper setting of the meeting and discussions that will follow.
The minutes of the last AGA was read line by line which was then adopted for the meeting. The meeting the started proper with reports from the regions starting with the Western Area.
