United Bank for Africa (UBA) Sierra Leone partnered with the Under 30 CEOs group for its Annual National Youth Dialogue this past Friday, August 29, 2025. The event, held at the Freetown City Auditorium, brought together the nation’s young leaders and innovators to discuss critical issues including governance, climate change, and skills development.
Representing the bank were Sallieu Sesay, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, and Juliana Kabba, Internal Communications & Brand Management Officer.
In his address, Sallieu Sesay highlighted the significant role of the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) in transforming Africa’s entrepreneurial landscape. He further detailed UBA Sierra Leone’s commitment to creating innovative products for young people, specifically pointing to Leo, the AI-powered chatbot, and the NexGen account. Both are designed to meet the specific lifestyle and banking needs of the youth.
Sesay also referenced the bank’s recent contract renewal with Sierra Leone’s sensational artist, Drizilik, who continues to serve as the brand ambassador for these products. He stated that these initiatives demonstrate the bank’s deep commitment to empowering the youth of Sierra Leone and Africa as a whole.
“We believe Africa’s greatest asset is our youth. They are not only our future, they are our present,” Sesay concluded, reaffirming the bank’s dedication to the cause.
UBA Sierra Leone remains steadfast in supporting initiatives that empower young people and drive sustainable development across the continent.
