MOYA, Freetown, August 6, 2025 – A strong message of partnership and progress echoed through the halls of the Ministry of Youth Affairs as the Country Director of Plan International, Madam Muniratu Issifu paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Youth Affairs, Min. Ibrahim Sannoh, at his office in Freetown.
The meeting highlighted a shared vision to advance youth empowerment, strengthen educational opportunities, and promote gender equality across Sierra Leone.
Madam Issifu commended the Ministry’s dynamic efforts in championing youth-led initiatives and reaffirmed Plan International’s commitment to supporting programs that enhance digital literacy, vocational skills, mental health awareness, and youth leadership.
“Plan International stands with the young people of Sierra Leone,” she said. “Our goal is to collaborate closely with the Ministry to ensure their voices are heard and their dreams supported.”
Minister Sannoh welcomed the visit with enthusiasm, describing it as a step toward more impactful and youth-driven development.
“Young people are not just the future, they are the present,” he stated. “We are intentional about building partnerships that translate into real opportunities for young people across Sierra Leone.”
The two leaders agreed to explore joint initiatives, share resources, and strengthen youth platforms nationwide.
