United Bank for Africa (UBA) Sierra Leone has reaffirmed its commitment to exceptional customer experience through a series of activities marking the 2025 Customer Service Week. The celebrations, held under the global theme “Mission Possible,” took place across all the bank’s branches nationwide.
Throughout the week, customers were rewarded for their patronage with a variety of gift items. These included essential household commodities such as bags of rice, milk, and oil, alongside specially branded UBA corporate merchandise.
The highlight of the festivities was a grand raffle session held at the bank’s headquarters on Thursday, October 9, 2025. The event brought staff and customers together in a lively atmosphere, featuring a cake-cutting ceremony, music, and the presentation of gifts, creating a memorable experience for all in attendance.
The Chief Operating Officer of UBA Sierra Leone, Mr. Ngene Cheidu, personally engaged with attendees, exchanging handshakes and conversations. He commended customers for their continued loyalty and trust in the UBA brand. “Our customers remain the reason we exist. This week is a time to celebrate them, listen to their experiences, and reassure them that we are fully committed to providing exceptional service. At UBA Sierra Leone, we don’t just serve customers, we build lasting relationships,” Mr. Cheidu stated.
Also addressing the gathering, the Head of Customer Experience, Ms. Kadijatu Sillah, expressed her appreciation for customer feedback and patronage. “Customer Service Week is not just a celebration; it’s a moment for reflection and renewal. Every comment, compliment, or concern shared by our customers helps us serve them better,” she noted.
Customers present at the event shared heartfelt testimonials, expressing satisfaction with the bank’s services and the professionalism of its staff. Many praised the teams for their responsiveness in resolving issues, while others commended the bank’s serene and classy environment.
The weeklong celebration successfully brought the ‘Mission Possible’ theme to life, reinforcing UBA Sierra Leone’s promise to go above and beyond in delivering world-class service and strengthening its bond with the community.
