President Bio Presides Over the Swearing-In Ceremony of the Newly Appointed Deputy Minister II of Finance and Ombudsman

 His Excellency President Dr Julius Maada Bio has presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the newly approved Deputy Minister II of Finance, Madam Jenneh Jabati, and the new Ombudsman, Mr Emmanuel Sahr Tondoneh, following their successful parliamentary approval.

Secretary to the President, Mr Barba Brima Fortune, informed the President that the two officials had undergone and successfully completed the due diligence process by Members of Parliament and had been unanimously approved. He added that the swearing-in was in accordance with constitutional provisions, which require that all ministers, deputy ministers, and ombudsmen take an oath of office before assuming their duties.

Speaking on behalf of both appointees, Deputy Minister II Madam Jenneh Jabati expressed their gratitude to President Bio for the opportunity to serve in his government. She assured him that they did not take the call to national duty lightly and committed to working hard to meet the expectations of the President and the people.

In his address, President Julius Maada Bio congratulated the new Deputy Minister II and Ombudsman on their successful approval and emphasized that their selection was based on merit and trust. He noted that theirs is a significant responsibility, especially during challenging times, and urged them to demonstrate dedication and teamwork in the execution of their mandates.

The President reminded them of the importance of discipline, professionalism, and integrity in public service. He welcomed them warmly to their new roles and encouraged them to always be mindful of their actions, stressing that they are now accountable to the people of Sierra Leone.
