The Honourable Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has been formally recognised as West Africa’s Leading Minister of Information by Afriqu Europe Magazine. The prestigious award acknowledges his outstanding leadership and professionalism in advancing public communication and civic education in Sierra Leone.
The Certificate of Honor was presented to Minister Bah in a ceremony attended by Lokombe Nkalulu, Editor-in-Chief of Afriqu Europe Magazine, and investigative journalist Abdoul Rahaman Bah. The award celebrates his remarkable contribution to promoting transparency, open access to information, and credible communication between the Government and the people of Sierra Leone.
Representatives from the Africa Diaspora Journalists Network, which conducted the selection process, commended Minister Bah’s dedication to fostering civic awareness, strengthening public trust, and improving the flow of accurate and timely government information to citizens. They described him as the Best Minister of Information in West Africa.
This recognition underscores Minister Bah’s commitment to reshaping public communication and civic engagement in Sierra Leone. It also reinforces the Ministry’s vision of building an informed, engaged, and empowered citizenry through inclusive and transparent communication.
The award further highlights Sierra Leone’s growing reputation for open governance and effective information management across the West African region.
