BNB Donates School Materials to Murray Town Primary school

BnB is a Sierra Leonean Fintech company, and part of the Canadian multinational Cauridor that offers international money transfer and payment services, with a focus on enabling payments for and from the unbanked in Africa.

Established in 2015, BnB builds on its payment network in West Africa to connect major remittance companies like Western Union and MoneyGram to a digital platform, the BnB Cash App, which allows users to send, receive, and collect funds, including through partnerships with banks such as UBA. The company’s mission is to drive financial digitization and empower the unbanked across Africa. By way of giving back to society, the company on Friday 3rd October 2025 donated school items to pupils at the Murray town Municipal Primary School.

Mrs. Mary Aminata Kargbo, Head Teacher of the school welcome BNB for their commitment in supporting education and her school.

‘’As management we are happy and very much appreciate this gesture. This donation will enhance learning of the pupils and support the economic growth in the society,’’ the Head Teacher said. She continue saying that the partnership with BNB came as a result of several engagements and what is happening today is as a result of such engagement.

Mrs. Kargbo expresses gratitude to BNB for partnering and donating school items to the pupils of the school and prayed that the partnership continues.

The Head of Corporations, while making his statement said he believe that education is the key to a brighter future.

‘’This donation is part of our commitment to support communities and pupils of this school with these little school items. The academic year has started and is this small contribution will help support the pupils confidence and work hard towards their goals,’’ he said.

He thanked the school teachers for empowering the pupils adding that the children are the future.

Alhaji Umar Jalloh, shareholder of BNB says education is one the strongest ways to build a brighter future and BNB will continue such supports and stand with the school and the next generation.

Mr. Jalloh advises the pupils to take their education seriously noting that education is their wealth and that hard work and discipline is something they should always strive for.

‘’You have believe in yourselves. Someday somehow you can be the president, minister. You can also be the best innovator.’’ He said today is part a wider celebration for education and excellent for the children while thanking BNB company for rending support to education.  He congratulated the pupils and advised them to work hard in achieving success. Mrs Haja A. Koroma former Councillor of Murray town municipal primary school appreciates the BNB for their commitment, perseverance, inspirers, motivation to the students and further assures BNB that the pupils will take good care of what they have provided for them.  She advised the children to handle the gift well and to take very good care of the items.

She also pleaded with BNB to continue supporting the school and community. The program concluded with one of the pupils Sunkarie Kamara giving the voter of thanks and appreciating BNB for gifting the school.
