APC Secretary General Relocated to Pademba Road

Magistrate Brima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1 has denied bail to the APC National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq., following his first appearance in court on Thursday 12th February 2026.

Mr. Dumbuya was charged by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on three counts of Incitement, Insulting conduct and Public insult against the sitting President, Julius Maada Bio.

The matter was adjourned to 16th February 2026 for further hearing.

Dumbuya was first invited to report at CID and was later released on bail. The Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) fined the APC Le 200 Thousand Leone for what they described as an “incitement statement” by the APC National Secretary General and 150 Thousand Leone on Zainab Sheriff totalling to 350 Thousand Leones.

On Wednesday 11th February 2026, the APC was reported to have paid the fines imposed on them by the PPRC. While the party is being held responsible by the PPRC for the statement made by its National Secretary General, the CID has again taken another action which saw Dumbuya in court on Thursday 12th February 2026 for the same offense.

The APC National Secretary General will appear again in court on the 16th of February for a continuation of the case.
