In a spirited gathering held at Selleh Limba Chiefdom in Kamakwie, Karene District on Wednesday 2 July 2025, the leading APC 2028 Presidential Hopeful, Lawyer Ady Macauley, engaged with party delegates and key stakeholders from Karene District in the north-west region of Sierra Leone. The event, graced by APC Members of Parliament, District executives, Constituencies and the Councilors, youth leaders, and women representatives, opened with prayers from both Christian and Muslim faiths.
Alie Conteh, former Presidential Youth Aide and former APC Youth League Secretary General formally welcomed the attendees and outlined the purpose of the gathering to connect grassroots voices with national aspirations.
Addressing the gathering, Ady Macauley expressed heartfelt gratitude to the District Chairman, parliamentarians, youth and women leaders for their continued support. He declared his vision for Sierra Leone, emphasizing his divine conviction and determination to contest for the presidency. “I have consulted, prayed, stepped forward, and ready to lead,” he said passionately. Macauley described himself as a symbol of hope and renewal for the country, highlighting his track record and readiness to transform Sierra Leone’s future.
District Chairlady, Adama Kolleh M. Bangura delivered a powerful message, stressing how Karene has long been overlooked in national development. She called on Macauley and any serious leader to listen to their cries and deliver real solutions. “We are ready to carry whoever truly stands with us on our backs,” she declared, reflecting the deep yearning of the community for inclusive leadership and meaningful change.
Echoing similar sentiments, Young Congress Leader Comrade Palo voiced the enthusiasm and caution of the youth. He assured the aspirant of their readiness to serve as the engine of the party’s revival but emphasized the need for credible assurance.
District Chairman Abdul Aziz Sesay closed the gathering by praising Macauley’s bold leadership and truthfulness. “All we need is a soldier who can lead us back to State House,” he declared, signaling growing grassroots momentum behind Ady Macauley’s presidential ambition.
