Vice President Opens Inaugural Govt.-NGO Dialogue 

Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh opened the inaugural Government–NGO Dialogue with appreciation to government ministers and the NGO community for their commitment and collaboration. He recalled that the event fulfills a promise made during the launch of the National NGO Policy in October 2023, reflecting government’s dedication to transparency, partnership, and accountability.

Dr. Jalloh acknowledged the vital role of NGOs in education, health, agriculture, environment, and gender inclusion, noting their alignment with the Big Five Agenda and the Medium-Term National Development Plan. He reaffirmed government’s commitment to an enabling environment through policy reforms and open engagement.

Addressing global aid cuts, he urged stronger collaboration and domestic resilience to reduce dependency on external funding. He also introduced the Integrated Approach to ensure sustainability and local capacity-building. Concluding, the Vice President commended NGOs’ partnership and reaffirmed government’s commitment to shared progress and national development.
