100  School Pupils in Tombo Benefited  from Action for Mankind  

A Non-Profitable organization providing support to less privileged children “Action for Mankind Sierra Leone” has donated school learning materials to school pupils at Tombo community. The support includes:  books, bags, pens, uniforms, pencils, and school fees for to each.

Making a statement at the donation ceremony, the Program Manager for the organization, Madam   Rosane Sundu Anoma underscored the importance of the donation. She said Action for Mankind Sierra Leone was established sometimes back with the vision to impact on the lives of children whose parents cannot afford in providing support to pursue their education.  She said as a charitable organization they knew that a lot of children in the Tombo community need education but due to financial status of their guidance or parents, they cannot move forward.

 She said their support does not only savage the gap that was not feed but have a significant impact on the students’ education and future prospects.  She noted that education is a vital tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, and such efforts can help bridge the gap in access to quality education which falls within the government of Sierra Leone flagship programme.

Distributing the school materials, Alberta Jabbie from Action for Mankind said she believes that parents can now concentrate on other areas that need also support.  She appealed to parents to guide their children in using the school items, noting that the pupils are to see the support as an opportunity which they should make use of.

In his vote of thanks one of the teachers, Abdulai Kamara commanded the organization for providing support to their children. He said currently school fees, book and bags have been a challenge for the pupils. He said with such support it will have positive impacts on the lives of the children and at the end they will be able to concentrate on their studies. He appealed to the organization especially the program to continue their support every year.
